On two beautiful days in June the final two classes from Pocklington Junior School came to Uncleby. Farmer Mike and Mrs Wray met the children at the Robert Fuller Gallery. The children looked around the gallery and were lucky to have all their questions answered by either Robert or Victoria.
Following the visit to the Gallery the bus took the children to Uncleby where they completed some artwork using oil pastels. Wow, what super artists!
After lunch everyone went for a walk down Manor Farm dale. Looking at the cattle in the shed on the way
On the Friday Farmer Geoff and Steve were making ‘haylage’. The children loved watching the machine wrapping the bales.
Ms Whitworth said ‘ Uncleby was a brilliant opportunity for the children to draw from nature with wonderfully hospitable hosts who were helpful and supported the children’s activities’
Mrs Penfold added ‘ A stunning educational visit which has given pupils experiences that otherwise they would not have had’
