On two beautiful, sunny days in May, the Year 2/3 classes came to Uncleby. Both classes did similar activities. They all went for a walk down Manor Farm dale right to the end where ‘Billy Goat Gruff’s Bridge’ is. The focus for the walk was Spring and Habitats. On the walk the children found lots of different habitats, here are a few pictures of the walk.
Back at the Education Centre the children developed their mapping skills. They imagined that they were birds flying over Uncleby and then drew key features from the landscape. There were some super ideas.
Finally they all had a look at Farmer Mike’s cows and then the children had a sit on his tractor.
Ms Anderson said ‘Uncleby is and immersive and idyllic environment for learning’ Ms Lackenby said ‘ Fantastic – Thank you for all the knowledge and the opportunity to see so much’ Mrs Ring said ‘Another fantastic visit – thank you’
