On two sunny Spring days in March the Year 5 classes from Pocklington Junior School visited Uncleby. Mike and I met Mr Morrison’s class at the Robert Fuller Gallery where Vicky talked to the children about Roberts paintings and his studio. The children enjoyed watching the LIVE footage of the Owls.
At the Education Centre both classes completed some artwork. Mr Morrison’s class did pencil sketches and Miss Booth’s class used chalk pastels.
Miss Booth’s class had time to go and look at the cows and calves in Mike’s barn. They also had a sit on his tractor. Mike lifted the bonnet up so that the children could look at the tractor’s engine!
After lunch the children went on a walk to look at the environment and to find out about farming and the countryside.
Mrs Stubbins said ” A most enjoyable visit has been had by children and staff “
