On a bright and breezy day in October the Foundation Stage children from Warter came to Uncleby. All the children went for a walk down the dale looking at the sheep, sheep dogs and cattle. Also noticing the berries in the hedgerow and the fungi in the grasses.
In the afternoon the children completed a carousel of activities. They learnt about Food and Farming, they made some biscuits using Farmer Mikes flour and porridge oats, they also did some art work using resources found on the farm as well as sitting on the tractor.
The teachers said ” It was a brilliant day the children and adults learnt a lot.” and ” It was a well planned day with appropriate activities meeting the needs of the age range of the children present”
